Aguirre has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston, studied at Cornell Law School - Universite' Paris, Pantheon, Sorbonne, and she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. She is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas.

She is fluent in both the Spanish and French languages. Cindy is 34 years old, married, and has one daughter. She joined Family Law Firm John K. Grubb and Associates, P.C. in 2003.

On April 16, 2008, the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children presented Cindy with an "Award Of Merit" "In recognition of and appreciation for outstanding commitment to the protection of children and knowledge of The Hague Convention On The Civil Aspects Of International Child Abduction."
